Animal show a staggering diversity of body form, from the relative simplicity of sponges to the sophistication of arthropods, cephalopods and vertebrates. We seek to understand the evolutionary origins of this diversity, using tools drawn from ecology, developmental biology, evolutionary biology, molecular biology, genomics and bioinformatics. For more information on past, current and potential future projects, please see the Research pages.

If you are an undergraduate student thinking about doing their project in my lab, or a Doctoral Training student considering their placements, then please follow the Opportunities tab.
